This year marks an incredible milestone for Flymo as we celebrate turning 60! To celebrate our big birthday; we’re officially on the search for the UK’s oldest Flymo lawnmower. Do you have an old Flymo hiding in your shed or garage? Has it been with you since the 70s or 80s? We’re searching high and low to find the oldest, most cherished Flymo lawnmowers.
Flymo - By your side for 60 years
Back in 1965, Swedish inventor Karl Dahlman revolutionised the way we mow our lawns, inspired by hovercraft, he didn’t just reinvent the wheel, he removed them completely. Unlike the heavy rotary mowers of the time, Flymo’s hover mowers glide on a cushion of air, making them lightweight and easy to use.
From the moment Flymo launched their first hover mower, it was clear this was no ordinary mower. For generations, Flymo has been caring for lawns on a mission to make garden care easy and dare we say…fun!?
